Ultrasound guided sclerotherapy is a highly specialised procedure for treating advanced varicose veins hidden beneath the skin. The procedure involves injecting a sclerosant solution (a medicine, which makes vessels shrink) into the abnormal veins using ultrasound to guide the injections.
